okay…i’ve read over the website for the learning record, and have to say this is all new for me- at least in the terms of how it’s explained.
It was too dense to leave it on the site and just read it- I had to print it out. I like the set-up of the site- could use something more than muted colors, but hey, that’s just me.
my questions:
1. is the learning record like an electronic portfolio? if not, it sounds like it is.
2. how do student’s provide evidence of growth and learning? is it through their own observations? what then becomes the role of the teacher facilitator?
3. how much weight is given to the record of achievement?
4. how does one measure growth of confidence and independence with the use of the learning record?
5. will we be required to use the learning record? if so, how often?
